Job Description

The Sea Pines Resort is searching for a certified Group Fitness Aerobics Instructor that is interested in teaching a weekly low impact class and/or interested in subbing a few classes every month.

Qualified applicants must have current Group Fitness certification and be able to teach to participants of all ages and ability levels. Primary responsibilities: Teaching a safe and enjoyable class while providing exceptional customer service to members and guests. This position is paid by the class.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current nationally recognized certification in the type of class you are teaching
• Must be willing to teach a minimum of one regularly scheduled class per week
• Excellent human relations and communication skills
• Able to lift 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Modify exercises to accommodate different fitness levels and abilities
• Responsible for making sure equipment is stored after class
• Reduce risk of injury by adhering to national safety guidelines
• Demonstrate variations or modifications to encourage participants to pace themselves, and keep movements pain free
• Start and finish classes on time
• The instructor may be required to perform other related duties as assigned
