Dental office receptionist
Job Description We are a PRIVATE GENERAL DENTAL OFFICE seeking an experienced full-time dental receptionist that is looking for a new office they can call home. This position is best suited for a dependable team player that has superb interpersonal skills, a knack for multi-tasking, and is someone that thrives on creating positive, exceptional experiences for our patients in a high-standard environment.
What you'll do:
-As the first point of contact for our patients, you will set the tone for every visit built on trust, comfort, and connection.
-Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care.
-Schedule, organize, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently.
-Accurately verify and quote patient portion out of pocket amounts in advance of their appointments.
-Maintain up-to-date patient records and charts.
-Answer incoming phone calls (multi-line phone system) and relay messages clearly and promptly.
-Monitor and respond to email, text, and voice mail messages in a timely manner.
-Prepare insurance documents, treatment estimates, and correspondence with insurance companies.
-Manage treatment plans and track insurance pre-authorizations.
-Process billing, collect payments at the time of service, and handle transactions accurately.
-Run and investigate reports for unpaid insurance claims, outstanding balances, and unscheduled treatment plans.
full-time $15 - $21 per hour

* Work Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday : 7 AM-3 PM; Tuesday: 10 AM-7 PM with a 60 min lunch break (not counted as work hours)
* 32 hour work week
* No weekend shifts required
We need someone with superb interpersonal skills that is capable of actively listening and empathizing with patients, as well as building relationships, strong communication skills, collaborating and teamwork.
Computer skills to navigate online insurance verification
We are currently seeking someone with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a dental office.
Someone who is acutely familiar with tooth numbers, dental procedures, and insurance processing and verification processes.
