Food Safety ManagerGonzalez Food Products, a growing snack food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Food Safety Manager to lead our food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality systems while promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving our Food Safety and Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, FDA, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the company's Food Safety and Quality Management SystemMaintain compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, FDA, FSMA, OSHA, and all customer requirementsConduct internal audits, GMP inspections, sanitation inspections, and food safety assessmentsLead preparation for customer, regulatory, and third-party auditsInvestigate customer complaints, non-conformances, deviations, and corrective actions (CAPA)Monitor environmental monitoring programs, allergen controls, sanitation verification, and preventive controlsEnsure product specifications, labels, and documentation comply with regulatory requirementsTrain employees on GMPs, food defense, food fraud, HACCP, allergen control, sanitation, and food safety practicesAnalyze quality and food safety trends and recommend continuous improvementsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Food Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 2 years of food safety and quality management experience in food manufacturingStrong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, FSMA, FDA regulations, and preventive controlsExperience preparing facilities for third-party auditsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and documentation skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systemsPreferred:HACCP CertificationInternal Auditor CertificationBilingual (English/Spanish)Experience in snack food manufacturingPhysical Requirements:Frequent walking throughout the manufacturing facilityAbility to stand for extended periodsOccasional lifting of up to 30 poundsComfortable working in production, warehouse, and laboratory environmentsAbility to work flexible hours when production or audit schedules requireWhat We Offer:Competitive salary based on experiencePaid vacation and holidaysProfessional development and certification supportOpportunity to lead food safety initiatives for a growing national snack food manufacturerHow to Apply:If you are a motivated and experienced food safety professional looking for a change, please submit your resume and cover letter to Mexsnax@aol.com and eliogonzalez@mexsnax.com with the subject line "Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager Application".
